5 Profound Shifts After Shadow Work and Energy Healing

text, woman, subtle energy

Many seekers of inner healing often wonder, "How will I know it's working?" This is a valid question, especially when it comes to practices like Energy Healing and Shadow Work, which operate on subtle levels. These transformative processes don't always yield immediate, tangible results that can be seen or felt. They're more akin to quantum shifts, like the behind-the-scenes workings of your cell phone. You may not perceive the vibrations, but you definitely notice when a message is sent or your video freezes.

In my personal journey, I've been in a relationship for two decades, and I periodically engage in healing work. After all, we all carry our past into our present connections, and sometimes these old patterns don't serve us well. So, I delved into my childhood to uncover unhealthy patterns that still influenced my relationships today.

The healing journey begins with a clear vision or contract, acting as a guiding light when navigating the depths of our past. This clarity is crucial, as it provides the anchor needed to explore the dark and intimidating recesses of our history.

Here are 5 things that changed soon after my most recent healing:

Release of Anxiety: my decisions and actions. While I recognized my perfectionist tendencies, I justified them by believing I held myself to a high standard. Little did I know that this high bar was the result of a fear of getting in trouble if I didn't act quickly enough. This anxiety-driven response only fueled my need for immediate results. The healing process revealed that my anxiety was affecting not only me but also those I loved. With the fog of anxiety lifted, I could finally let go of this unnecessary burden.

External Issues Cleared Up: Healing often involves addressing a specific part of ourselves, complete with its own set of beliefs and attitudes formed during a particular life stage. In my recent healing, I worked with a 13-year-old version of myself, who had experienced bullying by mean girls at school. Interestingly, a coworker in my current life mirrored this same energy. Energy healing operates like magic—once you change your inner vibration, the external world adjusts accordingly. Shortly after my session, I was asked to report this coworker's mistreatment, which ultimately led to their departure from the workplace.

No Longer Interested in Certain Foods: Energy healing cracks me up sometimes. About a year ago I started getting into coffee. I have never been a coffee drinker. Still, about a year ago (come to think of it, this is around the same time I started working with the co-worker also) I started drinking coffee. It felt like a treat even though caffeine and I don’t get along, and I am sure it did not help with the anxiety. A few days after the healing, I lost all interest in the coffee. I had a headache for about two days but still no interest. My energy no longer resonated with it, and it simply faded from my life—a phenomenon I've experienced with various foods and drinks over the years.

Body Image Shifted: I am sometimes off an on with self-care and exercise. I might drop five pounds and then proceed to gain back seven. I feel healthy to healthy-ish most of the time and there is always room for improvement, but after the healing I would look in the mirror and saw myself as light and healthy. I have since moved my body more engage in activities that will naturally help to sustain this new sense of self. And I’m not even trying, it just feels more like me.

Feel Lighter and More in the Flow: probably an extension of all the other things combined, bust still worth noting, I feel lighter. There’s an openness in my belly. I feel more connected to Source, more trusting and confident in myself and that it all works out and I just love myself and my life more. Which is great, because that was part of my contract – to feel more joy no matter what I’m doing and to feel at ease, in the flow, of my life and in my interactions with others.
